Rules and Contract Conditions

The Council of the Association is responsible for the framing of the Rules and Regulations for the International Raw Sugar Trade which are used by the majority of international companies trading raw sugar.

The Rules and Regulations are reviewed regularly by the Council to ensure that they conform to current trade requirements and government and EU legislation.

The Rules and Regulations contain the following sections:

  3. Definitions of contract language.

  4. Rules to regulate Cane & Beet raw sugar contracts CIF Free Out and Cost & Freight (CFR) Free Out.

  5. Rules to regulate Cane & Beet raw sugar FOB & Stowed and FAS.

  6. Institute Commodity Trades Insurance Clauses:

    1. Institute Commodity Trades Clauses (A);
